Privacy Policy
MySelf doesn’t collect any data. No account, no analytics, no advertising and no MySelf server. Nothing you add is sent to us or anyone else.
Where your data lives
Your to-dos, labels, office tasks, notes, images, University, Job Study and Product Dev data are kept in a database on your device, inside the app’s own storage.
When Sync with iCloud is on (Settings › iCloud), Apple’s CloudKit copies that database into MySelf’s area of your private iCloud database, so your other devices signed in to the same Apple Account get the same data. It’s stored by Apple under your Apple Account, counts towards your iCloud storage, and can’t be read by us or anyone else. Apple’s privacy policy covers iCloud.
Appearance and which features are shown are stored on your device and, if you choose to sync them, in your iCloud account’s key-value storage.
Versions up to 1.3.1 synced through a folder you chose in iCloud Drive instead. If you import that folder, its data is read into the app’s database; the folder itself isn’t changed.
Network requests
Apart from iCloud sync, which goes to Apple, the Mac App Store version of MySelf makes no network requests.
The version downloaded from GitHub checks once a day whether a newer release exists by loading the project’s public GitHub releases page. That request carries no personal data, and you can turn it off in Settings › General.
When you open a link you saved, it opens in your web browser, which follows its own privacy policy.
Deleting your data
Delete any item in the app and it’s removed from all your devices and from iCloud.
To remove everything MySelf keeps in iCloud, open System Settings › Apple Account › iCloud › Manage storage and delete MySelf’s data.
Children
MySelf collects no information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
