Software that respects you.
Quorrel started with a Mac that was full and a cleaner app that wanted us scared. Red warnings, a countdown, a subscription. We just wanted to know what the 40 GB was.
So we built Dustpan, and found we liked making small, single-purpose tools that do one job well and then get out of the way. That’s the whole studio: a handful of apps, made slowly, sold honestly.
We’re independent and self-funded. Nobody is asking us to grow 10× this quarter, which means we can say no to things — ads, tracking, lock-in — that make software worse.
What we care about
Craft
We sweat keyboard shortcuts, empty states and the wording of error messages. Small apps leave nowhere to hide.
Honesty
We tell you what the app does, what it doesn’t, and when we got something wrong.
Privacy, by default
Local-first. If data has to travel, it’s encrypted and you’ll know about it. We can’t leak what we never collect.
No dark patterns
No fake urgency, no pre-ticked boxes, no cancel flows designed to wear you down.
Fair, one-time pricing
Pay once, own it. If an app genuinely needs servers, we’ll offer a subscription for that part only — and say why.
